NAT is a protocol which allows us to share internet from one or more than one IPS to share internet to internal IPs.
In Mikrotik We configure NAT as follows :-
Suppose we have 192.168.0.1/24 (Internal Private Network) .
Your RouterBoard's Ethernet interface is 192.168.1.1/24 (fixed Private Network IP i.e gateway for internal network ) .
Your RouterBoard's Wireless card is 192.168.138.131/24 (Public Network provide by provider ) .
The Access Point you connect to is 192.168.138.2/24 (Public Network gateway of our internet ) .
Then we have to configure :
1) Click on Ip > firewall > NAT
2) Click on + to add new rule :
a) Source NAT :
Ø For Source NAT click on general >chain>choose srcnat>source address(192.168.0.0/24).
Ø Click on action tab on action select src-nat.
Ø On to address give public network ip (i.e 192.168.138.131).
Ø On to ports give 0-65535 (i.e all ports )
b) Destination NAT :-
Ø For Destination Nat click on general >chain>choose dstnat>destination address (i.e 192.168.138.2 (i.e public address)
Ø Click on action tab on action select dst-nat.
Ø To address give address of local Network .(i.e 192.168.0.0/24)
Ø On to ports give 0-65535 (i.e all ports )
Now Nat is configure .
